High Contrast/High Shadow

I have been tinkering with Photoshop lately on high contrast and high shadow photos. I've seen a lot of very interesting pictures out there with very high contrast. The high contrast gives photos a very contemporary feel. As a photographer, I am constantly searching for the next new look. Not only do looks change, my style of photography has to change with time. This is what keeps me motivated.

Here is a photo that I added high contrast and high shadow, compared to a "normal" exposed picture. Tell me which one you prefer!

I think high contrast makes it a very urban feel to an image. Contemporary wedding photos in the street would look nice with high contrast. As for babies, I like it more soft, less contrasy.

I shoot everything in RAW, so I played around in Photoshop Camera RAW. Crank up the "shadow", "saturation" and "exposure"
