NYC for an E-Session

I will be out of the studio for a few days photographing a wonderful couple, Janice and Jason, in NYC. Their wedding is in 2010 in NYC. I will have my laptop and my cell with me, so if you miss me, give me a ring!! :)

First hour of a new life

Mike and Joella were my wedding clients, but quickly became one of my closest friends. If you remember, I traveled to the rural part of Japan with these guys to document their trip.

This year, they are pregnant with a little girl. Time flew by and yesterday was their little Maesyn's birthday. We agreed to document the birthing process and as promised, they kept me posted throughout the day. I was at a shoot in San Jose but I was only 35 mins away from the hospital.

After 16 hrs of labor, doctor decided the best option at that moment was to perform a c-section. At the end, we all welcomed the beautiful little Maesyn to Mike and Joella's lives.

Madeline & Adrienne 2009

Through the years, I am so fortunate to be Madeline and Adrienne's yearly photographer. Not only do I know the girls pretty well by now, they also get very playful when we do the shoot. That's great as a lifestyle photographer, your subject feels comfortable to be themselves! This year, it was EXTRA special because the girls got a set of puppies. OMG, can you see how Cuuuuute they are!!?

Each year, Kara (their mommy) and her mommy friends get together early in the year to set up appointments for their yearly photos in Nov. I believe this year, Kara and the mommys booked in April/May for their November sessions! It may seem too early to plan, but it is never too early when you have children! so plan ahead!

Georgia & Gillian = G2

I have two boys, so I am very in-tuned with what boys are into and what their needs are. It is always intriguing for me to work with girls since I do not have any of my own. This is the 2nd year that I photographed Georgia and Gillian and I noticed the difference in their likes compared to last year. Georgia is very into her jeans and pants whereas Gillian is interested in her dresses. I guess that's what they call "phases" huh?!
