This is one of those fun pictures that I took on my trip to Hong Kong a month ago. This picture is interesting to me because of the curves and lines. Can you guess what this is? I will reveal later. This picture is interesting because it demonstrates how much more impact this picture is by displaying it in black and white. The black line stands out next to the white, which makes it pop. This is the contrast that I find interesting in black and white photography. In black and white photography, you look at 2 things:
- light
- contrast
This is not how we human sees things, but as a photographer, I am trained to look at contrast. This is indoor, so lighting is pretty even, so the next thing that I got to play with is contrast.
This picture makes a great abstract picture on the wall. So do you know what this is?
Answer: The ceiling of the Hong Kong airport.
