Candy and Kevin were referred to me by a mutual friend at Yahoo!. Candy and Kevin are very kick back people, so the day started out easy at Candy's room at Hotel De Anza in San Jose. I love Hotel De Anza. it is one of those small, but very intimate and modern hotel.
I always start the day by capturing the bride's "getting ready" moments. In my opinion, that is the most intimate of all. I just love this part of the day. You can feel the tension (good tension that is!) and excitment in the air. The day was beautiful. It was a March sunny day, in the 70s. You cannot ask for a better day in terms of weather. I showed up at Candy's room and she looked absolutely gorgeous. She is just one of those girls that radiates joy and beauty.
Kevin was also very relaxed when I saw him at the lobby. He was all ready to go when I got there shortly after working with Candy.
At the reception, there was a Mariachi band playing music. It was soooo awesome. I think every wedding should have a mariachi band to get things going. It rocked. After the mariachi band finished, another band came in to play. This band was also awesome. Candy and Kevin had great music selections.
Candy and Kevin are heading out to Cabo San Lucus tomorrow, good luck and have a blast guys!
Here are some of my favorite shots from the day:
