Since I have time today, I thought to myself "why not visit a few of my venues!." I always love to shoot in the wine country. The environment moves me and the architecture always inspires me to be more romantic while capturing my clients' emotions.
A lot of my clients ask if I visit venues. I usually don't and here is why... I usually arrive a bit early at the venue to scope around for shoot locations and ideas. Decoration and sometimes layout on the wedding day is usually very different compared to a "normal" day at a venue. Location of the tables may change and sometimes, even seating locations can change. Since there are so many unknowns, visiting venues beforehand may and may not help at all! I find arriving 15 mins early to my venue on the day of my weddings help tremendously.
Anyhow, I had a great time visiting two of my venues for this year:
1. V. Sattui
2. Auberge de Soleil
Both of these locations are absolutely stunning. Take a look at some of the pictures that I took today.
Our first stop was V. Sattui

I have not been to Auberge du Soleil for over 2 years. Nothing really changed. The view from this venue always take my breath away. Wwwow!
