7 year old Michelle was a very smart girl. She knew a lot about a lot of things. We talked about computers to Star Wars to almost anything, she always had an answer for me :)

It is important for me to get to know my young clients before a shoot. I spend a few minutes just talking to them before I do anything. The goal is to make them feel comfortable in front of my camera. I generally talk to them about their likes so they get excited before the shoot. No way that I'll ask a 7 year old to pose and say "cheese" in front of my camera. That just doesn't work. Here are 2 series that I really like. She was very natural in these pictures (oh yeh, we were talking about R2D2 in both series...heh) :
