Lisa and Jonathan both live in Atlanta Georgia. They are getting married in May of 2009 in Healdsburg. This week, they traveled to the Bay Area for the holidays so we met up in San Francisco and shot their engagement photos. The weather was extremely wet but that did not dampen our energy to get good photos. We met up in Japan-town, had lunch, talked a bundle, then went ahead to start our shoot in J-town. I rarely get to shoot in J-town due to crowds, but because of the rain, not too many people were hanging around the streets (lucky us!).
As always, what I love about engagement shoots is the opportunity to be creative and spontaneous. That's exactly what we did. We didn't have a plan in mind. Pretty much drove around and got out of the car to shoot whenever inspirations hit me. This time, the TransAmerica on Jones St. hit me, and I thought the best pictures that we got today was around that time.
So rainy days shouldn't dampen anyone's mood to shoot. Instead of fighting the rain, work with it! Enjoy the slideshow!!!

Ahhh... my old stomping grounds - J Town! :)
Hi Augie - what song is playing on Lisa and Jonathan's slideshow? It's such a cute song!
nice pix, Augie.
lisa and jonathan are a gorgeous couple and your pictures are outstanding :-)
Alice, I believe that song is by Emily Mover (sp?)... you can try googling it. :-)
It is by Emilie Mover, called Ordinary Day. It is the song that they used in the Bounce commercial! You can download it for free at their site.
Hi Augie,
LOVE, LOVE your work. Just wondering what program you use to make your slideshows?
Lori D - I use showitFast. Easy and simple yet nice.
