I've been here for approximately 4 days now and took care most of what I have to do here. Now it is time to ENJOY! Hong Kong is a very interesting city, but VERY crowded one as well. I was born in Hong Kong, but looking back, I didn't know how I survived here. The air quality is poor (I am actually being nice) and the people are pushy. It is a very metropolitan city afterall.
On the positive side, the food is amazing here in Hong Kong. From Chinese to Italian, anything in between, Hong Kong has to offer. Not only it is good, it is delicate as well... that is what makes Hong Kong unique. What I realized this time compared to my other Hong Kong visits is that the number of mainlanders in Hong Kong has increased dramatically. Hong Kong became one of the most popular vacation spot for wealthy Chinese (from mainland). You see how the Hong Kong culture has changed from being very British-like to now, very Chinese-like. This transformation has been very interesting to me.
I took many pictures of the life in Hong Kong, but I am still struggling to post them on my blog. Once I find a compact flash card reader, I will get them posted for you all. If not, I will just have to wait until I return to the states.
Take care all, and have a great rest of the week!
