Manolo, Gucci, LV, Prada, Dior, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta

Oh man oh man, I am so getting lost in this designer world...

So today, I decided to watch the new Sex and the City movie with May. Yes, it was my decision, so there, I admitted it upfront :p I have always liked the series on HBO, so why not take a chance on this one. I knew it was going to be full of ladies in the movie theater and I was right. Duh!!! I didn't hesitate at all and walked into the theater sitting next to 20 other women on the same row. Just as I was trying to spot other guys in the audience, I saw this (at-least) 70 year old man sitting there with his grand-daughter or something (dude, I sure hope it was not his girlfriend!!!) getting ready for the big show. I can't help but wonder (ok, this is a total Carrie Bradshaw line), how in the world is this guy going to enjoy this movie?

So after 2 hrs and 15 mins of seeing many designer names, I concluded that this was a darn good movie. Not the designers that is, but the story line. It was funny! Not only does the story line caters to women (of course), but it also shines a bit of light onto men's lives.

Another part that I enjoyed watching was the designer brands girls are into these days. As a wedding photographer, I can't help but developed interest in nice shoes and gowns. Carrie (aka Sarah Jessica Parker) had this awesome looking dress in the movie and I noticed the name of the designer (which I have never heard of before - Vivienne Westwood). After being a wedding photographer for almost 10 years, I have seen my share of wedding gowns and shoes. I must say what Carrie had on was stunning. Anyhow, I don't want this post to be a movie review so I am going to stop here in case some of you have not seen it yet.

I had a great time today watching girls ga ga-ing over all the designer clothes and purses in the movie and I think you all should give this movie a run!
