One of my dreams is to work part time over at the Hawaiian islands. Spend the summer here in the bay area, then head over to the islands and live there for a month or two in the winter. Every now and then, I get requests to do a wedding out at Hawaii, but mostly on the main island - Oahu. Ava sent me an email yesterday and told me she has a good friend who is a great wedding coordinator in Mau'i who she wants me to meet. I reached out to Evonne from Events by Evonne. An hour later, I got a call from this energetic person on the other side of the line. It was Evonne! She was so fun to talk to. We had so much to talk about. I found out that she has been following my blog for a while. What a small world.
More and more couples are looking into destination weddings to either save on the cost or just-because. Hawaii is a perfect location for that since it is only a plane hop away from the west coast.
