Berlin

I took a short flight from Amsterdam over to Berlin Germany for 2 nights. I have never been to Berlin before so I figured this is the time for me to venture out a bit. I was expecting to see Hitler memorials, Hitler marks everywhere in the city...but I was so wrong. Everything has been pretty much rebuilt and you can barely see ANYTHING related to Hitler. I spoke to a German and he mentioned that a lot of Germans are not proud of their Hitler days so many chose to "hide" them by rebuilding and removing a lot of that. Who knows?! this is only a sample of one German.

I had a good time here and were able to do some sight seeing. What moved me the most is the Berlin wall. I loved what it represents today, which is the downfall of German separation.

These are urinals. I thought they were soooo bad a$$ that I had to take a picture of it to show you all. This is soooo "German-like"...very contemporary, well balanced and engineered to perfection.

My authentic German meal :)

Here is a contrast of the old world (the Berlin wall) and the newly renovated government building.

Wow! I feel like I'm touring Europe! Now I want a soft pretzel but going to the Home Depot parking lot cart just won't be the same experience :P

That urinal looks like 2 one eye monster. Haha. Nice design.

Augie, I am glad to know that I am not the only one who take photos of the toilets overseas! One of these days, we have to swap our "toilet" photos! Hope you are having fun in Amsterdam and Berlin! I was there before the wall came down. Awesome city!
