My style of children photography is best described as natural and fun. My strength is utilizing natural light to create the most natural and yet artistic children images. I don't use artificial backdrops, artificial light or even tell your children to say "cheese". It is all about working with what I have and to capture their personalities at their comfortable locations - most of the time, your home.
All of my children/babies business is from referrals and some are returning customers few years after their weddings. I LOVE shooting for kids, especially babies. Their emotion and their laughs are genuine. There's no acting, no posing, no compromising. It is very rewarding whenever I capture that "perfect" shot.
I have been doing children photography for 4+ years now and this part of my business has been growing quickly. Many parents are interested in knowing how I work with their kids. Many times, I have to explain over the phone and sometimes via email. An idea came to mind when I was talking to Andrew from Studio MSV about my children portrait business. We talked about putting together a promotional video for my clients so they can "see" how I work with their kids. Andrew followed me to a baby shoot and here is the amazing result:
If you are interested in a children/babies session, I am usually booked 3 months out. All shoots are done from Tues to Thu.
Andrew was also kind enough to feature me on his blog which included a short interview. If you are interested, take a look at his post of me on the MSV blog.
ANNOUNCING NEW WORKSHOP!!
At the same time, I am announcing my new workshop!! See below:
Many of my workshop participants have asked if I will offer intermediate workshops. So I decided to start a series of intermediate workshops which will focus on different topics.
This is our first intermediate workshop which will focus on how to photograph children and babies.
In order to get the best out of this workshop, participants will need to have a basic understanding of photography. For example, basic functions of the camera, aperture, f-stop, depth of field...etc. For those of you that took my Introduction to Digital Photography workshop, you are ready!!
